POSTPONED To July 26th Due To Excessive Heat Advisory Photo Walk, Sunset, and City Nightscapes at Governors Island - July 26 5pm-10pm
Come photograph the people, the unique architecture and art, and the amazing city views of Governors Island. Folks are welcome to arrive as early as they like and make a day of it, but we’ll plan on kicking off the “official” trip when the 5pm ferry from Manhattan arrives at Soissons Landing. We’ll gather in front of the medical building (take a left on Carder Ave. after exiting ferry). We’ll do a photo walk and plan to be on the west side of the island and/or The Hills for sunset. The sun will be setting between the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Then we’ll have the option to move to vantage points for some night photography of the cityscapes before catching the last ferry back to Manhattan at 10pm.
